European Association for Public Administration Accreditation
“encourages curriculum development and innovation”
Requirement: degree programme
To be eligible to apply for accreditation, programmes must have a degree programme (bachelor or master level) in public administration. EAPAA accredits programmes, not institutions. Different programmes must be evaluated separately, although this can be realised as part of a single process. Public administration is here used here as a generic term and includes all related topics such as public administration, public policy, public management and more specialised themes.
How to apply
The procedure for applying to EAPAA takes a number of steps. Programmes can apply for accreditation at any time of the year. However, since our Accreditation Committee meets only once a year, in early September, programmes that prefer a quick decision should aim to deliver their self-evaluation report in the first months of the calendar year.

The procedure consists of:
- A request by the programme to be evaluated;
- A decision by the EAPAA Board on eligibility;
- The payment of the fee;
- The submission of the self-evaluation; report
- The site visit;
- And the final decision by the Accreditation Committee.
